The Kershaw 1530 Hawk with G10 scales is not to be confused with the old Ti Hawk which was the big brother to the 1430 Wild Wild Turkey.

In fact, the new Kershaw 1530 Hawk appears to be the old 1430 Wild Wild Turkey pattern wtih G10 scales.  I was a little surprised that the 2 knives I ordered were not the larger Ti Hawk pattern of old, but am glad I ordered 2 of them because my favorite knife is the old model 1430.  Of course the blade steel and Chinese manufacture is different too but I am glad to see some of the old models coming back.

This is my first post in the Kershaw group, and while I own several Kershaws I just added one more to the list. Years ago I purchased a 1530 G-10 handled knife and it proved to be one of my favorite knives to carry, then I lost it. For quite awhile I looked for another one and finally found a new one at a gun show and after some trade-in took it home. But because of its high cost and the fact that it was next to impossible to find one I just had a hard time making myself carry it. But now with the new model out I can have one and carry it also. Here is the new one next to the original.
