Congrats to Kershaw on another Blade knife of the year award.
Speedform from Kershaw - Blade Magazine 2009 American-Made Knife of the Year.

Unfortunately only one pic in the magazine though. Does anyone know anymore about it or have any good pics?

What is Uddeholm ELMAX powdered steel? Witha 60+ Rockwell Hardness am I going to have to send it out to have it sharpened? Will it ever need to be sharpened?

I will say its nice to see them working in titanium handles again. Some of may favorite old Keshaw knives were titanium. . .

Here is the link for Elmax's data sheet, maybe it will help you. As far as I can tell, this stuff is a little like S30V, but I wouldn't swear to it. Depending on your sharpening skills, you should be able to sharpen it with diamond or maintain it with ceramic.

I found this pic on blade forums. Don't know if this is the one you saw or not. There is a small thread on blade forums about the speedform and the volt if you are interested.

Great Article on the EL-Max. thanks. It should be interesting. Sounds like the next step for Kershaw after the Metal Injection Molding (MIM) and hot isostatic pressing of the Offset models.

Thanks for the pic too, it is much more head on and shows the shape much better than the pic I saw in Blade Magazine.

I know this is probably a prototype pic, but I don't see the G-10 inlays as mentioned in the text on this obverse side of the knife. Are they missing on this prototype or only on the reverse side I wonder? No mention of a clip either? I wonder if it will come with a sheath or a slip pouch?

The handle outline looks a little "blocky". It reminds me of the Skyline. (that is not a complaint) As much as I hate to see the summer come to an end, I can't wait till November.
