Real nice.

Here's my 1930's Kissing Crane Scout.

Very nice Wustoff, Smiling-Knife.

As for the blade on the Russian Knife.  Unless they use some strange kind of funky can I've never seen, I can't imagine a way you can open a can with that blade.   It would prove good a gutting small game, cutting a mushroom stalk or cutting labels on a bottle of alcohol.  The lack of cork screw eliminates the last option in my view.

I had been showing my Case Scout Juniors but I got side tracked.  The first one I bought was the Amber Jigged bone because I decided to collect Amber Jigged Bone Case knives.

Next I decided I need to the Officially licensed Boy Scouts of America Case Scout Junior because I collect Boy Scout knives.

Other pictures of this knife were published in the Boy Scout thread within this group.

But after having two Scout Juniors I thought this knife is only made by Case so maybe I should collect this pattern of Case knives (I was thinking about collecting Russlocks and still might but this pattern seemed more my style.  This led me to my third Scout Junior.  This time I was lucky enough to win a Burnt Stag one in mint condition with box and papers.

Now to plot my next move!

Those are beauties, Tobias,  Thanks for sharing these and so many other great images.

Seriously, will the prongs on the Russian knife go into a cork to twist, break the seal and turn to remove? Just curious. There's more than one way to skin a cap. errrr... ??

Hi Clay.  anything is possible.  Next time I need to pull a cork I'll check.   The reason I was tiniking mushroom blade is because of the shape of the blade.  Compare the Russian hook blade to the blade on this mushroom knife. Thisis a very common blade on Mushroom knives

i see what you mean, Tobias  Good stuff. It's good to show how research through comparison is valuable.  Thanks

That looks like the best bet so far. Thanks Toby. Very nice Scout Juniors too.

Not exactly sure what possessed me to buy this one.  It is made by Rite Edge.  Looks cooler than it really is.  Cheaply made. Compass is sort of accurate and scissors and blade are okay. The light is also good enough for reading a map at night if you need to do so.

What do you expect for under $7?  I gave it 4 of 5 stars on Amazon but that was because it was cheap and it is pretty interesting.  Too bad some of the better knife makers aren't thinking outside the box.

You can see something new and unusual on this forum everyday.

I just purchased a Vintage Kabar Scout, does anybody have any info on them? Thanks.
