Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

A place to show pictures of your SMKW house brands and SFOs  Let's break 'em out boys and girls.  Doesn't matter if it is a high-end Colonel Coon, a Turtle Man, Ole Smoky, Colt, Rough Rider, etc.  Show 'em here!  I'll start with a couple SMKW Marbles!

just wanted to show a beautiful  red swirly stockman I received as a gift. Carried as EDC for a few days. Sturdy and sharp ,not bad at all for a small knife!

Steve, that is a real beauty.

RR1093 and RR1094, the Saigon Sidekick, 1 and 2 respectively.  The Tracker style knife is really quite impressive.  The back side has a saw (somewhat useless in my opinion) and a second sharpened edge suitible for chopping small limbs.  While I'm sure some will argue the saw portions great, I find the wood saws on my Swiss Army knives better than those on thick spines of a fixed blade (this one is 3/16 of an inch thick).  Still it's not a bad, if somewhat heavy camp knife!

The combat ave (Sidekick 2) is getting harder and harder to find.  Many of the first run had faulty stacked leather handles. (the washers got loose).  So far so good with mine.  When it becomes an issue, I'll inject some leather glue in between the washers with a hypodermic needle and hope for the best!   Either way, I bought it for a wall hanger and not acutal combat.  I'm not sure if SMKW is going to re-release them or not.  It might be one of those hard to find Rough Riders!

both are extremely sharp 440 Stainless

I haven't beenbuying many SMKW housebrands and SFOs since the demise of Knives Live TV.  (out of sight, out of mind, i guess!) Anyway, the catalog showed up and they had the 75th anniverasry Red Ryder Boys Knife, so I kinda, sorta had to order it! It's not as good as the old USA made Colonial but i like the red bone better than the Tobacco bone RR Boys knife.  I would've preferred it if SMKW had done an SFO with an American Company or just had it done on Victorinox Fieldmaster.

L to R  Colonial (USA), 75th Aniv (China), Current Standard (China)

The glamor shot

Just the main blade

Shield - you'd think they could've put a R R on the wings of the shield! It's the little details that could've made this thing pop!

Blade Etch.

Here is a seldom seen Smoky Mountain Knife Works SFO by Buck, (manufactured by Camillus), 1995 only: Buck #322 Congress, this one in Yellow Sawcut Delrin. They also made these in Black Delrin, I have one of each now.

OMG, you bought it!

That's not the same one believe it or not, but yes I bought this one too, (I've been a very bad boy), but found the more rare Barlow at the same dealer. That's the one I am fretting over as far as price goes, and the one I mentioned in the chat room. They are literally IMPOSSIBLE to find, (as opposed to near-impossible like this Congress), yet this guy wrote back after I received this one and told me he had the Barlow too, (not listed anywhere, I supposedly have first refusal). I'm trying real hard to justify such a pricey purchase, but I will probably never see one for sale again, (there ya go, justified!). I'm so hooked I'm just having the guy send me a Paypal invoice on Jan 1, not even gonna dicker with him, that way I can say I didn't do two idiotic things back to back in the same year. Believe me, I won't be buying too many knives in 2017 until I get done paying for these, (thank God for plastic!!).
