when I saw it, the first thing that jumped to my mind was "that'll look great with the old Police whistly I bought last year.  Cost me 50 cents.  I think the whistle is probably worth more than the stick.  I know it was a better return on investment.  LOL

The model is an old Monogram Paddy Wagon I built 25-35 years ago. Needs dusting and repairs.

The whistle is s a B.G.I.- Bridgeport Gun & Implement Co.   Model # 620  Echo Call. 

BGI made a few different models, including those with and without ornamentation.  The whistles were popular in American Cities but were also used by the London Police.   The nickel plated brass whistle has a nice patina to it.  The Nickel was made with a brass finish, which remains in tact.  The whistle is extremely loud.

The BGI Echo 620 dates from 1893.  This one has the patent number and ornamentation making it one of the earlier 620s. The ornamentation shown was typical for the whistles used in the USA.  As I bought this one in Chicago at the estate sale of Chicago Police Family, I assume it was used by a Chicago Police officer.  The baton also matches those used in Chicago, pre-1970.

LOL! I love the Paddy Wagon with the souped-up engine! And, wowsa! That whistle might have some substantial value attached to it. And, aside from any monetary value it might have, it is just downright COOL! 

I also have to comment that I love reading your posts because I usually always learn something new from them. You are a veritable encyclopedia of knowledge! I thank you and both of my remaining brain cells thank you!
