I was inventorying my box full of knives when I came to this one.  The Fowlerville Michigan fire department does have a truck no. 425.  Was this knife made for them or did the manufacturer just happen to use that name and engine number?  I can't tell if the marking on the blade is 10100 or mabe ICICC.  No matter what position the blade is in, part of the marking is covered.  Does anyone have any info about this knife?

Hmm? That's one of those "chicken or the egg" questions. Sorry, Charles, but I don't have the answer for you. I do think that it's really cool that you posted the pics of your knife and the Fowlerville firetruck, though. The lettering looks like ICICC to me.

Charles....

My guess this knife was made in China, Pakistan or India and the maker used a public domain jpeg of an American fire truck which happened to be one from Fowlerville.  If you Google the ICICC it comes back to a bank in India. Charles is there a mark giving the country of origin?

Clint

The knife was made in China.  If you look closely at the second picture in my post, you can just see "China" under the word "stainless" on the blade.

I got the picture of the fire truck off this web site:

love the fire truck my friend has the hag on it

Hey everyone

I discovered what that marking on the blade is.  It is K K C which stands for Kentucky Kutlery Company.  If you go to eBay and search for Kentucky Kutlery Company or KKC, you will find knives for sale both ways.  Despite the name, all of their knives are made in China.  It appears to be a Chinese company which just uses that name.  So if you have a knife that has that marking on the blade, it is a Kentucky Kutlery Company knife.
