Ken, I still have nine days to wait before I can hunt. It is cooling off here too. Yesterday it was near 90. Today it was in the 70's.
We have had heavy rains, but suppose to clear off and a cool front coming in, I am going to hunt this week. Looking forward to it.
Welll sounds like you might be ready. You watch out for this bit of storm headed your way
I went out to the camp yesterday, to clean up and get ready for the start of hunting season.
Robert,
The young folks are fortunate to have someone like you to assist them in learning. Sounds like it is a win on both sides of the relationship! Enjoy the weekend
Yes, it's a flat head or yellow cay or Opelousas cat. They are great eating.
The older I get, the more I want to teach the young. They all call me Pawpaw....lol
Robert, that's a great attitude. Its wonderful to pass on to others, what has given us such great joy.
By the way, is there such a thing as an Opelousas Catfish?
Ken, I hunt and fish for a lot of different things but I do my best at squirrels and Sac-au-Lait [Crappie]. I use to be very good at it but age and being disabled has slowed me down. The young men beat me know days, not to many of them though. It's okay, I'd rather take a young fellow out hunting and teach him a thing are two. I have one coming with me this week end. I really get a kick out of it and a good feeling inside, when I take out the younger ones.
Robert, by your picture, you are the Squirrel King. Good hunting.
A front is passing through this week end and early next week it should be in the upper 50's. I can't wait. I start hunting Saturday for squirrels.
