Ken, actually I can't tell you the brand.  It is just a standard three bladed broadhead.  It is 125 grain.

I have killed one deer with my crossbow.  That was two seasons ago.  I was in my ladder stand and had eight does feeding on acorns between 20 and 30 yards from me.  When the biggest one gave me a standing broadside shot I took it.  The bolt went in right behind her right front shoulder and exited right behind her left front shoulder and stuck in the ground about ten feet beyond her.  She went about a hundred yards and went down.

I hear you Charles. I have my stands, blinds, and lanes all ready. Now I need to start shooting Crossbow and Compound - make sure they are sighted in. I am using Slick Trick heads this year and need to make them shoot straight. What heads do you shoot Charles?

I need to get out and start preparing for deer season.  It opens in just a little over two months.  Need to make sure my crossbow and rifle are sighted in.  Need to put out my trail cameras.   Also need to do some work on my shooting houses.

I am gathering apples for deer and I have to change the batteries in my trail camera. And I have to keep up with my knives - sometimes seems like a full time job but I love it.

Anyone have "Outdoor Plans" this weekend. Mine are gardening and setting a turtle trap or two.

It's been a wet Spring and Summer for us here in Raleigh. Maybe all the hard rains washed the snakes up from the creek area?

My son walked out in his front yard last week and the water was half way up his calf.
