Beautiful day today , I was going to collect bark for making cord today. I thought if anyone was interested, I would take some photos of the plants, bark and how I strip it. Then I’ll show the beginning work and how I twist it.
Wow Chipmonk, the temp. here is 72 to 90, degrees. We need to do our outdoor adventures, either early or late. We still can have alot of fun.
Looks like Johnny had a nice adventurous night, with his trusty Beagle. Robert had a great dinner and Chipmonk got to see the last of winter. We just has some hot and muggy days with air conditioned nights
Looks like winters not over yet. Haled most of the night ,snowed flakes the size of silver dollars this morning and raining like ... will its raining hard. i'm at about 4000 feet in central oregon.
I slept in a tent for the first time in 4 years on Sunday night. I drifted off to the medley of crickets, bull frogs and their little tree frog cousins. After a few hours of sleep I was awoken to the not so pleasant bellows of the neighbors Bull Cow, then the Raccoons of night decided to raid the neighbors place a hundred yards away. Pretty soon they made their way to our place and fought through the night.
Everything went silent for a while and I started to drift. Thats when the yelps of a lost soul started, it would have sent shivers down my spine if it wasn't for the fact that I knew it was just Hawk, our local beagle hound. He wanted to camp out too, so he spent a few hours in the tent with me. A good dog, but a loud snorer.
Hey guys we leave this weekend for the trip. It's two days and one night, not a long trip, but it should be a fun one.
Just seemed appropriate. I enjoy hearing how ethers camp out went. Do most of the members here use tents or sleep under the stars.
Johnny, I can't wait to see the pictures. Ya'll be safe out there!
