Robert, an elk hunt is on the agenda, but it's pushed back a year because my brother got a really good Job, so we wait. I imagine I'll head off to trout camp in April, that makes for a great time.
I need to do more camping, we'll see how it works out.
The middle of Febuary has us all still in the middle of winter. The use of our knives in the outdoors, hard. Hang in there knife buffs, better wheather is coming. I say, get your gear together, make plans and for sure have those camping knives sharp.
Anyone planning on a camping trip this spring? Everyone needs to get out the old tent and practice your wilderness skills.
Wow Jeremi, that's a big one, and some fine cutlery too. Do you know what that big bad boy weighed?
Yes mam, I caught this the other day when I caught all those other catfish. This coming weekend we're gonna fry about 35 of those smaller ones, whole, and that big one in a gravy.
Rusty,
That sounds like a great place to me, shows ya'll have a good respect for the wild life. Or maybe they just know you wont shoot them in town (LOL).
Robert,
9 lb's is a very good size catfish indeed
You should try sneaking out there with one of your whalers and see if you can't bring one down. : )
Well, it would make for a good field test I guess.
OK, this is just barely out of doors. In fact, it's on the southern edge of town in front of the community college bookstore. A month ago there was a small black bear sighted in town. One morning my brother had wild turkeys roosting on top of his car, he emailed photos to me! On the north side of town you have to keep alert for antelope crossing the roads.
