I went out this evening for a squirrel hunt, I got covered in ticks, so I had no real want to stick it out. I think it may have been a bit windy for the bushytails anyhow. I did taking the rifle for a walk though.

Conservation is good, understanding that hunting is not a numbers game...priceless.  Thanks guys for being responsible with our wildlife

Robert, we actually have a really good squirrel population, I'm just being slow with it this season. I have seen the limit of squirrel almost every time I've taken to the woods, I just hesitate to pull the trigger sometimes.

The area you hunt might not have a large squirrel population. You are right though, hunting is not a numbers game.

I got another squirrel the other day, thats three on the season. It's been a slow start for me, but I really don't have to kill everything I see, it takes the fun out of it.

Sounds great Johnny, if you have the chance to take a young one hunting even if it's a short hunt please do, you will help get the kids out in the woods and out of the house.
