Hey Jeremi, that's entertainment.  What his show and others like it do is bring back excitement to the great outdoors. I hope there is even more television on wilderness  camping and traditional outdoor ways. Maybe just a few that you don't have to eat the bugs...lol

Yeah Bear does take too many risks on the show and he does things a regular person who's not in super shape just cannot do.I think he has something against cooking his food, cuz its not like he can't make a fire in a minute.I watch the show for entertainment b4 education. The guy is a nut but I like seeing what he will do next.

The man takes too many chances!  I advise not to follow his teachings. You must be careful not reckless in the outdoors. I guess that's what makes a show.

Rabbit and squirrel season is about to open here in Louisiana and is about to open or has already opened in alot of other places. The first thing I want everyone to keep in mind is SAFETY. A good hunter prior to opening day should make a check list of his/her gear and go over it. Check and clean that firearm and if you are not qualified to check it bring it to someone that is. Check your ammo, make sure it is in first grade quality. A good compass, canteen and insect repellent are a must on the opening day as much as the rest of the season. Hat and clothes should also be checked [in case we put on a few extra pounds...lol] an a small but complete first aid kit should be high on the list. A map of the area we are gonna be hunting is another thing we might consider but most of all tell at least two different people where we plan to make our hunt. Follow the laws, be careful and respectful of others and have a good time. Come back safe and tell us about the hunt. If any of you guys have any other opening day hunting ideas, please feel free to add them here.
