When you look at a map of Louisiana, Grand Ile is almost all the way out on the end of the boot. [ Louisiana shaped like a boot] The Ile is about 1/2 to 2 miles wide and about 12 to 15 miles long. It might be a little bigger I'm not sure. When I go there, I usually rent a cabin. They have seafood cleaning and cooking facilities. I hope we are able to go. Kelly's boy friend has never been there before.

It would sure be fun to be one of those girls.

The girls want me to take them on a little trip to Grand Ile Louisiana, this summer. It's all salt water and beach. If we go, it'll be Salt water fishing and crabbing. The knives I bring will all need to be Stainless Steel. The salt water is too hard on my Carbon steel knives. There is a lot of great Seafood there, Shrimp, Oysters, Crabs and a variety Salt Water Fish. Like Spec. Trout, Flounder and Red Fish, oh and a favorite of mine, Sheep Head.

I cleaned a few chickens and the knives I picked did real well. I thought that any pictures would not be appropriate, so please understand. I'll take pictures of some other Outdoor Adventure....lol

Oh, I think you might have a knife or two, to get by with.

Robert, which is why most of us "city folk" are going to be in a world of hurt during the zombie Apocalypse.  Kind of hard to butcher a chicken with a credit card!

It's time for me to butcher some home grown chickens for the freezer. I'll have to pick a good knife to get the job done. I usually use two, a smaller one and a larger butcher type knife. Decisions, decisions.

They have been on chopped corn for a while, should be great eating. I guess people from the city are not use to a day of Butcher.

I finally planted the rest of mine on Sunday. I hope the hoppers are better this year. They ate everything last year.

Yea, our growing season starts a lot sooner than Ya'll. Some stuff you are planting we can only plant in the Fall. Like Turnips and Cabbage. Too hot down here in the Summer.
