I am going to the hunting club this afternoon to make a hunt and scout out a place for my cousin to hunt. He asked, to come camp and hunt with me this weekend. He usually hunts at another hunting club about 30 miles south of me in the swamp. He hasn't had any luck this year so he thought he'd give it a try with me. I hope I can come through for him.
Thanks Howard.
Thanks to Ron, also. My Pawpaw was the finest man I ever met. He only had a 3rd grade education but was very smart. I think we call it common sense.
Thanks for the info. on Mountain Curs, Robert.
A Mountain Cur is bred to hunt coons and squirrels mostly. They are not hounds but do the same work as one.
I don't know what a mountain cur is, but maybe a coonhound would be an equivalent.
I hunt Hybrid Mt. Curs.
I'll be hunting in a ground blind, for that nice buck. My primitive weapon will be a single shot .444 Cal rifle. There not as primitive as they use to be.
Hope you get him Robert
I found some deer sign of another large buck. I'll try hunt it this week for primitive weapon season. I'm keeping this spot for me to hunt. I hope for good luck. My old Pawpaw said, "good things come to those that do good."
Great squirrel hunt, will ya'll mount the pi-bald?
