Too cold for me for an outdoor adventure here in PA.  Buck season will be over after this week.  Now, I might drive above my skill level in 4WD, and be forced into an outdoor adventure that I hadn't planned on, so I had better return my field pack to the truck and add some MREs, water, and emergency blanket.

Well, that's the plan. They haven't started running yet, so this is the first test to see if they've moved in. I think some should be there, by now. The other Outdoorsman have their traps stored but they usually wait for someone to start catching before they start.

Sounds like living the high life Robert.

Anyone have plans for an Outdoor adventure, soon. I plan on heading back to the camp, to do some hunting and fishing. The recent heavy rains have put a lot of water in the swamp and the small bayous that run through the swamps. They feed into larger bayous where the fish have been waiting for just this type of thing to happen. They leave the larger bayous and bays and to head up stream on a feeding frenzy. This is where, I wait in ambush with my lines and traps. I keep only Catfish and throw back all game fish, caught this way. Fresh fried Catfish, what a real treat. Good luck, Ya'll.

The weather is real bad down here, too. So, we decided to sit this one out.

Great pics, Robert!  Also great that you are bringing a hunting tradition to another generation.

Had intended to spend a full week (Sat-Sat) at deer camp, but got rained out.  Started with snow cover on Monday, though, and when it warmed up to the mid 30's the snow melted down to ice, so 4WD was the only way to get around.  However, nothing but doe came within range.

That looks like a great time was had Robert!

I'm so relieved the knife is working well for you!

But most of all I'm thinking...wish I could join you LOL.
