I want to kill a whitetail buck but I also want to kill one of these wild hogs, real bad. They are very good eating and my little family, loves it.

I only killed two. It was a pleasure to just sit there and watch them, I had deer within just a few feet of me.

I thought it was one of the stinkin' little Squirrels that just ran from the bird feeders. But standing there about 25 feet away was a beautiful 8 point Buck and his Lady friend......just standing there like a picture looking at me! What a beautiful picture. Really lifted my spirits. A gift from God?

Featured Comment by Charles Sample on November 4, 2013 at 13:06: Here in Alabama we have a spear season for deer. It runs concurrent with the bow season and is three and a half months long. In AL the spear has to be hand thrown. No throwing devices are allowed.

In Memoriam Comment by Robert Burris on November 4, 2013 at 11:00: The primitive deer season is for Black Powder or guns that shoot old time cartridges. I own one of both of them. You get one shot with a close range rifle. I have had good luck with it in the past.

It's his first kill with a bow, you can just imagine how excited he was. Our primitive weapon season opens this coming weekend. I'll post a few pictures later.
