I find this interesting – see the two dimples in the bolster – I have seen this before on Rough Riders – The scales are jigged after the scales have been installed on the liners! I have never seen it done this way – normally the factory jigs the bone then installs it on the liner –

That is kind of interesting. I suppose it's most likely to keep the price down somehow.  Don't know for sure how that is though.

 

As a sidenote I've not seen it on the roughriders that I've held in my hands so far. But come to thing of it I don't think I've owned any of the Jigged Bone versions.

 

Never seen anything similar on the gunstock checkered version or the Sawcut version.

Could that have been done during final buffing? I've seen stuff like that on other knives when they are buffed. But, you never know.
