I know the series is based on design by a famous knife maker or company. Does anyone know who first came up with the knife design. I believe they discussed this on Knives Live when it first came out

Chiefly, it had to do with the knife handle and the blades of the first four or five knives which were copies of the originals. Later knives are just patterned after the originals.

"The photos in the previous post are of an old German pruning type knife I just aquired. It surely is interesting, and quite old."
