When it comes to Rough Rider's, If I can't find it at SMKW I have often tried an eBay Seller named "Randy's Knives"  They usually cost more and he does a lot of things buy only, but I've always appreciated his service and speed of delivery.  Last night I was placed an order for a semi-hard to find Rough Rider (Currently out of production)   He only had one left.  This morning I got this message from paypal

Hello William Gibson,

Randy's Knives (rbagwell1@earthlink.net) has issued a full refund for your payment.

Message from merchant: Full refund.  I'm sending the knife but noted a small flaw in the handle....

I'll be interested to see what the "small flaw" is but  just the fact that he sent the knife and still sent the knife speak volumes of the man's integrity.

His ebay store is located at:  http://stores.ebay.com/Randys-Knives

Other than his several excellent transactions, I have no affiliation with the store.

Tobias,

That action from the Randy's screams volumes about the integrity of the dealer, Thanks for sharing the experience with us.  Its nice to know a place to go buy with confidence

Just a follow up on the Randy's knives Saga.  The knife arrived today. (He's almost always three days from purchase to delivery.  From what I can tell, the problem with the knife was a natural fissure in the white smooth bone.  I suppose you can could call it a defect but it appears to be a hairline crack that formed naturally in the bone and not from production as it is not associated with the pins or along the edges of the bone.

The knife was the increasingly hard to find white smooth bone toad sticker. As I'm updating the entire Rough Rider review page I'll try and have this review and several others up by Christmas.  Needless to say, I'm very pleased with the knife and the transaction.

Cant wait to see it :)

I always enjoy your review
