Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I'm sure everyone here knows that Herman Williams was the in-house customizer for Schrade for 24 years. He was authorized by Schrade to work on and modify any and all Schrade knives. He still customizes pre 2004 Schrades, just as he did prior to the bankruptcy in 2004, and sells a few of them on Ebay.

All the knives in this display were re-handled in natural white bone by Herman. It is a continuing collection.

WOW  !!!  Nice collection Doug

Herman was working on a couple knives for me, one was the 94OT. He called to tell me he didn't have any bone dyed in the color I had asked about. I was just leaving the house and didn't have much time, so I asked him to do it in natural white bone, no dye and no shield. When I got the knife, it was love at first sight. I'm working on a larger display frame as this collection has taken on a life of it's own.

Nice Display with some great knives Doug!

Anthony Moat said: They sure are some super white bone knives you have there Doug. That would have to be the largest collection on white bone i have ever seen.

You are very fortunate to have such a close association with Herman Williams to re-handle all those knives. Does he do decustomised work for the general public?

Herman always has some knives for sale on Ebay, his handle is        electra_225

I believe he would do work for anyone, depending on his schedule.  If you looked up one of his knives on Ebay and used the  ASK A QUESTION to contact him, I'm sure he would reply.  I wouldn't want to post his his personal Email address, however I would be happy to pass on requests.

Besides re-handling Schrades, he also does some very nice customizing, as you can see on the Bowie he just finished for me. He did all the file work by hand with a chainsaw file. I have a pair of Pro Hunters he re-handled in Ram's Horn that have outstanding file work. When I get the time, I'll post some pictures of them.
