Well so far nobody knows! Its interesting to me and perhaps shows how much more data needs to be developed about knives in general, knife sales and knife production. Although in all honesty my question was posed to several of the biggest knife sellers in the business. I really wish I knew people in "knife production" because if you have a person running production and they don't know what is scheduled or produced in a year, I would get a new production manager.

So the bottom line is we can continue to guess because so far no one has given a definitive answer for stockman production. Stay tuned for more though as I will continue to try to find this answer!

Old post but I will give it a shot.  Due to my extensive knive collecting experience ( a couple of months now)  I asked a number of online place that I bought knives from what was the most purchased Case knives.  Their response was mostly Trappers, Toothpick, sowbelly, copperlock, russlock, sodbuster  all one bladed.  They also mention stockman & whittler -3 blades and the 4 bladed congress.

Not scientific but 3 blades seem to be less popular than 1 bladed knives.

 

It would be nice to see manufacturing numbers for those pattern types.

 

 

WOW that's a tough Q - I like the Stockman - the 3 blades come in handy on the farm. But looking at my own collection/accumulation - I would guess maybe 15-20%.

i would think 15% since there are so many different patterns now...and the trapper is by far the biggest % seller since they use it for advertising so much
