Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I just got a Victorinox in an ebay bid.  The other two knives were pre-1986 knives.  This one maybe earlier as it has an aluminum cap on the tweezers which was used i think until 1978.  At  first I thought it was a Scientist.  Then I thought a Yeoman, butg it really doesn't match either.  I couldn't find it at SAK-wiki.

It is a 3 layer 91 mm.  Fron layer is the caplifter and can openr combo tools.  The middle is the small Phillips and the old magnifying glass.  Back layer small and large blade.  Back layers are a grooved corkscrew and a awl.   Has toothpick  and the already mentioned  tweezers. (See pic)

Any clues?

Its called the "Passenger" model.

Watne,

Great info on the name.  How can Tobias date this knife? Is this model still in production?

Thanks Wayne.

I should've looked at SAK wiki a little closer.  If the tweezers are the original ones with this knife, it will be a pre-1978 production, which fits in right with the other two knives, an early Angler with just scissors (SABI 5001 and a  Spartan lacking tweezers/toothpick (SABI5064).

Strange (or just dumb luck)  to land all three in one eBay buy for $30 when they were all in pretty decent shape.

That certainly was great luck to land those 3 knives. The "Passenger" model is no longer in production. I do not have dates as to when they first appeared or dropped production of this model, but the aluminum head tweezers switched to a plastic version in 1978 so I would say it is definitely from around that time period. I imagine it does not it have a "Victoria" rear tang stamp, since that usually goes along with the small clip pointed blade. Best guess is 1975-1978 for this knife.
Wayne, my Friend,  your knowledge is amazing.
