I got snubbed on my GEC #29 Snakewood pre-order.   I got so mad I searched for a new blade smith to make the right fixed blade for me.  I spotted Seth Borries on You-tube.  Seth has been trained by a master blade-smith.  I also watched Seth become a "Forged in Fire" weekly champion.  Seth is 29 years old.  I owe a big thank to Olde Towne Cutlery for showing me this young man.  My knife and left hand sheath is being made right now. This will be my favorite knife and I have some good ones too.

I can certainly appreciate why this Dash Jackal would be in the running as a favorite. It's beautiful! I especially love that handle. I would presume that is canvas micarta? The color is awesome! Greg makes some really nice knives. But I know I don't have to tell you, do I?

I am not sure I could ever decide which of my knives is my absolute favorite, but I would have to make this one, one of my favorites for sure. I have been carrying this one with me a lot lately. I don't always have it on my side, but I do have it in my car at the very least. It is a knife made by Greg Dash. This is my Jackal, the blade is made from D2 tool steel. It is a great looking and very useful knife.

Well, considering that I carry it every single day in a belt sheath I guess my Trestle Pines Portage Barlow with Ancient Recycled Ash handles would definitely qualify as my favorite knife, (at least this week's favorite).

My favorites are my Grohmann by DH Russel for EDC and my Gil Hibben Damascus Karate Fighter for just looking so damned awesome.

This is my current favorite Extra Fancy Gentlemens Sgain Dubh it has a 2"L x 1"W x 7/32"T Double Edged Feather Damascus Blade with a rattail tang, A Wraparound Bolster carved from a single block of Brass and double Pinned to the Blade, the Handle is African Blackwood Brass pinned through the tang then a 1 15/16"L x 1 1/4" tapering to 7/8"W x 1/2" tapering to 3/8"T Fossil Walrus Ivory(6000+ years old) then more African Blackwood and  more Brass Last the Through Tang is hammered to a Feather Damascus nut. Overall Length is 5 3/8" 100+ Hours of hand work and Love!

So I went to a party yesterday.  Not black tie but I did wear a sport coat so I had lots of pockets.  I don't wear any rings or fancy watches but I like to carry a nice knife or two as "man jewelry".  So here is what I carried yesterday.

The boot knife is a handmade by local Ralph Smith, the engraved Damascus folder is by Johnny Stout, the other handmade is a double action by Larry Chew - a wonderful knife with walrus scales.  The Canal Street has Kudu horn scales and the Northwoods has mammoth scales.  The boot knife "sheath" is homemade, crude but effective.  Nobody sees is since it's inside my boot.

Unfortunately, there was no need to cut anything so I never got the opportunity to pull any of them out.  So I thought I'd at least share them here where they will be appreciated.

Hi, here are my every day carries.All are switchblades.  My favorites are the bottom two.
