If you have the hand for them, there are sunfish size, whittler pattern knives out there which are new made and carry the brand names Winchester and Kabar.// They can be a bit pricey however they walk, talk, and do the work...I made my walking stick from an apple tree lower limb which had been dead for a while; now THAT is a pretty good test of a knife's metal!Thank you...

I agree! If anyone ever offers apple wood to you for the stove, pay them double if they agree to split it first...(learned that the hard way, too!)... Thanks for the response! good nite!
