Thanks, JJ.

Thanks, Floyd I quite like the stick with the old Victorian penny on, that is unusual for me as I don't usually think much to the things I make. They never seem to quite match up to the initial idea if you know what I mean.

John, most things I whittle look like I whittled them. But I like your cane's and again the coin on both of them really adds to their desirableness.

Yep.

Get an idea in your head, know what you want it to be, but it's never just right.

This is true for people that create...

Those that view the finished piece have no preconceived notions and can only appreciate the final offering.

PS,  the penny one is awesome.

That's just right JJ.

I have to admit the coin is my favorite

Made this for my son for Christmas, he is an avid hiker and enjoys the outdoors. Bass wood, a bunch of different knives and just piddled along until it was finished. Light is poor but you might better see detail on the shady side.

He should love it, Floyd.

Great work Floyd.

Thanks gentlemen, It kept me off the street for a while. I appreciate your comments.

I've always said that, when carving, you've got to know when to stop.

Sometimes, that last, extra, cut can ruin your work.
