This group will be deactivated on July 4, 2014. As I begin to set us up for transitioning to the new format our provider is offering, we will lessen the amount of groups that we host and those that are not showing activity regrettably will be the ones that need to be deactivated. Thank you for the posting. Not wanting to lose the information in this group it will be transitioned to http://www.iknifecollector.com/group/odds-ends Box Full of Knives

Just kinda stumbled on this group. JBF Champlin - the leader in Little Valley Cutleries - "The Village of Knives". I've been reading John D. Wells "My Old Jack Knife" story to JBF Champlin. Its in Ritchie and Stewarts Cattaraugus Cutlery Co. ID and values book. JBF would be proud of the legacy he has left.
Looking forward to some good discussion on this group. Thanks Mike.
Thanks Jan & Ron for your help and support to Derek and I, Mike
I am so happy to announce that Queen Cutlery will be making our next offering for us. After some great conversations with Ryan Daniels it was decided that they would make our next knife which will be a recreation of an old Cattaraugus pattern called a Plumbers whittler. It will be marked Electric Cutlery to honor JBF's work as a salesman for Freidmann & Lauterjung who held the Electric trademark at the time he was selling for them. I have attached a picture of the box which shows the etch that will be on the main blade.
We are looking forward to having a long relationship with the Daniels family and Queen Cutlery.
Sure good to see you guysl!!!
