Toby, I can definitely see why you would think of Billie Jean King when looking at the Redneck Tom Original. I wonder if Bobby Riggs is on the other side? lol

There are moments when it is hard to explain to your wife just why you started laughing out loud while watching a knife show!   I just had one of those moments.   I flipped on Cutlery Corner Network  purely out of curiosity  and within 30 seconds Sheila announced a new line of knives featuring Tom O'Dell!  Apparently Tom has been pushing for a line of his own knives!   I did not know that!    He has two fixed blades so far

I swear the blade etch reminds me of Billie Jean King! LMAO

and the other knife is the Hillbilly Tom  "Still Defender"

I guess he is trying to look like Huck Finn in this blade etch.   I kind of like the shape of this one  (the bottle opener pommel is neat!) but as a person with a hillbilly soul, I'm also a tad insulted.

HEY UIGE BIOX_O_KNIVES CAME TO MY HOUSE TODAY VIA MY SON..at least a fw hundred!...and some books... one book is on guns and i will give that away for 5$ and cost of media mail... but check RR post as i will be letting go my RR knives from about 2008 as well a my marbles knives... ill be on RR . ill get pics up and the deal will be super sweet i promise..!

ANYWAY!!-i do like that bridge!!!.. the one side is one that i have seen before but i have been collecting PERES knives for some time..and havent come across the bridge ..Nice SK!! i dont have any of the SCRIPT stamp it seems yours is.mine are all the regular D.peres soligen germany ..ectect.

most of the D.PERES knives that i have,not all,that are metal handled celebrate the area of philadelphia in some way. i have otthers that ill save for a nice pic. one of them even has a PO BOXnumber in phila,pa as part of the TANG STAMP!! ..have you ever seen that.

D.PERES dates 1885-[im not sure who owns them now if anyone} BUT-  D.PERES was imported from GERMANY to the USA by MAGNETIC CUTLERY CO.. in Phila,Pa. also the trademark i see on most of my perees is the KEG/BARRELL it comes in 2 different forms -with only suttle change. i have seen a few knives without it and others with 2 ..some on the tangs! of course importing to phila you can tell which oneswere contracted by MAGNETIC ..i have a bunch with the MAGNETIC CUTLERY stamp and the peres ..but some are just the peres.

i do have celluloid PERES knives.. which for me are harder to find. but way cheaper!..

these make great collections,are not that hard to find.some are sought after of course more then others but you can find deals.theyare "ad" knives in some aspects as you can tell that most are souvenir knives.i have a few markd as so on the one handle."souvenir of atlantic city".i can just barley remember tthe days when the museums in PHILA still offered even

one other stamp i have and its on the blade i cant make out all the way but its soomething COMPLIMENTS ON SALES..or something.. big ATLANTIC CITY knife! ill just get another picture.

you can also find D.PRES straight razors. -hope i helped- i follow up withsome pics shortly.. i just wanted to get some info out their!  -and some fun facts!...LOL!

Great collection of metal-scaled knives Peter Force. Thanks for showing them. As you mentioned D Peres, here's an old souvenir from Philadelphia, circa 1930s.

A fascinating collection Peter.  You cna rest assuered none of mine are fightin' rooster.  Two imperails, One ccolonial, a couple Rough Riders, a novelty, and Arendt, a few non-descript knock-off.

I haven't been serious with the collection, but your collection just may inpire me to get more serious.  Yours are simply fabulous.
