I've received so many comments and compliments on it that it will most likely stay in my collection along with the WWI commemorative piece I found and bought when its owner had no idea what it was other than an "odd" knife. I enjoy researching unfamiliar pieces. It gives me additional knowledge but more importantly, it heightens my appreciation for knives and those who created them. I have learned to give every knife I come across a second look if only to know I haven't overlooked an hidden treasure.

I doubt if it goes back to 1929 because of the one patent date which is 1944. I have done some research and there are some different tang stamps as far as patent dates. But, I am delighted to have found such a unique piece among some items that are not of any real value. Rather, not of any value except to those who collect those particular pieces and may want them for parts or to round out a display.
