I try thinking that 5 dots mean 1995 for that knife. But i look up at the lists tang stamp, it say 1997 to 1999... I am not sure....

Rusty.. I sudden understand about general rules this 'lighting bolt' like 'Z' for "S". I am very positive that in start 1980's.... until today. I did find to check which the year that 'Case XX' with USA and five dots..

I am no expert on Case, and have noticed exceptions to the general rules before, but ...  I thought the 'lighting bolt' or "Z" style of "S" indicated t980's, and the 5 dots would make me guess 1985.  I'm probably wrong about the date, but it is still a very interesting knife.
