I agree with you regarding prices and places. It's still that way for the most part. Recently I saw one of these starting bid at $99.00 and another for I think around $175.00 buy it now. Once in awhile I see one similar sell for $40.00 or so. Either way I think you did well!!

Yes this turned out ok, don't have any idea of what the value of the paratrooper knife is but it is an interesting knife. I had looked it up but seen different opines of what value. I used to sell some knives but found value varies so much according to the area you are selling. Never sold online and I guess the value may be a little more stable because of the audience you reach?

Wow Bob

I think you did really well on that deal! That paratrooper knife is worth a few dollars.

Jan, It had been quite awhile since that happened so I had to do some serious remembering to come up with the knife that was lost in shipment. It was a Star brand folding hunter that was very interesting to me. The seller was very fair though, he sent the Schrade Walden, two Schrade Imperials and one other small knife (I can't recall) to replace the one. I had only paid &15.00 for the one that was lost, along with 2.00 shipping at the time.

Goodness, sorry to hear one got lost in shipment but this is nice.  What were you trying to buy?

This is a Schrade Walden MC1 paratrooper knife I have had for about 10 years. I think it was made in the late 60's or very early 70's. It was a replacement knife for one I had bid on on ebay and was lost in shipment.
