I'm very pleased to have finished this big bowie knife today. I have worked on it off and on for over a year. The knife is a raindrop damascus Pattern.. Four hundred and twenty layers of 5160 (spring steel), 52100(ball bearing steel) and 15n20 (saw blade steel) forge welded together. The guard is stainless steel and the ferrule is silicon bronze. Sambar Stag for the handle and a damascus pommel. Blade length is ten inches and the overall length is fifteen and one half inch. I do one special knife a year and this one is for 2013.

I had to pick my jaw up from off of the floor! This Bowie is quite simply SUPERB!

Kudos and congratulations, J.R.! I'm sure there were many long nights working on this Masterpiece!

I applaud you on a job well done, sir!
