Nice gutta percha grips. Too often these are seen with lots of wear across the checkering.
As best I can tell, the mark looks to be "OW". If it is, it would mean its from the Österreichische Waffenfabriksgesellschaft - the Austrian Arms-Manufacturing Company. It is typically abbrivated as OWG - your's may be lightly stamped or missing the G, I can't tell for certain.
