Damaged tubes

Well that is what those tubes are for - protecting the beautiful blades inside. 

A small square paperboard box would have given up and the contents may have been damaged. 

I know it would take a little force to crush one of those tubes......

How were these knives packaged for shipment to you? It might be better to contact the dealer if you bought from a dealer; I am thinking that GEC does not keep labels and extra tubes on hand unless they are commonly produced knives. 

I do have a little experience packaging and shipping GEC tubes - none of these were damaged in shipment and these went all over the globe....

Doug call Chris at GEC.  I know she will send you some new tubes.  How disappointing!  The only slightly brightside I see is that it gives you a reason to clean up and play with those new knives :)
