Thanks for the good words. Originally I was going to cut 2 holes in the existing top but the router bearing let go and ruined it. I had one side of a walnut bookcase that I picked up at a yard sale so ripped it on a table saw and used a roto-zip to do the routing. I have beveled glass for both sides. The weight of the glass on the knives takes most of the wrinkles out. It was removed for the pictures. I was a little short of having enough wood so the center board is actually 8 strips glued together. That took some sanding to smooth out.  My collection is always changing so I laid the knives out this way to make it easier to add to or change out knives.The razors have been turned over so the edge is down.
