There is but it's too faint to make out. Maybe something about "gavilan"?

It's been in my family for eons. I remember it at my Great-Grandparents house then it went to Mom and after she passed it came to me. I'm not about to remove that patina to find out what's under there.

I'll have to get the measurements one day and see if we can figure out what it is.
