Neither knife is older than the period of 1940 thru 1964. Both of the knives have the pattern stamp on the reverse of the blade. I have been advised that a XX Case that does not have a pattern stamp on a blade are the earliest knives with the "xx" marking.

Very nice.  I know it is pre-'65 because there is no USA in the tang stamp, but is it possibly even older?  Pretty bone and it looks mint - a good find!
