Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Over the years of participating on this site, I've commented that one of the greatest joys of knife collecting revolves around the pursuit of a specific knife...or series of knives. I've been collecting the Titusville Cutlery Trapper (by Queen Knives) series for some time. Three years ago, I had finally collected everything in the series...EXCEPT the Mammoth Ivory covered one. Ironically enough, I was watching eBay...and saw this little baby. The seller mistakenly thought that it was stag. Though I have three of the stag versions, I decided to get this...simply because the price was too good to pass up (if nothing else, I'd re-sell it and make a couple of sheckles). As it turns out...when I got this, I thought, "Those covers DON'T look like stag." I looked closer and saw the "MI" designation on the spey blade. This designation stands for "Mammoth Ivory". So...finally...my collection is complete. Sadly, it didn't cover with the box. So...if I can ever find the box...I'll certainly want to nab it!

That is a very nice knife Chris with a great story attached to it.  I love it when a story goes with a knife.

"The photos in the previous post are of an old German pruning type knife I just aquired. It surely is interesting, and quite old."
