As I understand it, in 2014, when A.G. Russell designed his version of the Doctor’s Knife, he had 150 made without scales. Over the years, small batches were released, adding various handle material. I have one in ironwood, stag, mother of pearl, and black lip pearl. This is the latest one (of 25 made) … which is now in my doctor’s knife collection. It features some really nicely figured, dyed box elder scales.

Thanks Kevin.  Actually, it wasn't all that "sharp" when I took the photo as I didn't have time to sharpen it (as I do with most knives I get).  However, it is now scalpel sharp!!!  Didn't want to pull the others out and take new pics, so here are older pics of the other 4 I had prior to picking this one up.

Loving the wood!

Very sharp looking knife.  (pun intended)
