Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I originally posted a photo of my Allen Elishewitz custom Anubis folding knife shortly after joining iKC (must have been nearly two years ago). The photo was taken with a relatively wimpy camera...so I decided to freshen the shot up a bit. The text that follows is from my original posting:

I must admit that the manufacturing technology used in modern production folders produces some outrageously GREAT knives. That said, a true custom blade is something UNIQUELY special. The blade shown in this picture is the crown jewel of my collection; an Allen Elishewitz Anubis. Aside from the insanely smooth action (I thought that my Bradley Cutlery Alias I was smooth, but this blows it away...which I never imagined was remotely possible), this CUSTOM folder represents pure blade artistry. Yes, the quality is breath-taking; that is a given! This, however, is not what makes the Elishewitz Anubis "special". Titanium acid-etched bolsters...the unique carbon fiber scales...the use of contrasting colors and textures. All brilliant. But there is more; look at the level of detail! Though the blade is black, the spine is exposed stainless...polished! Look at the gold AE emblem on the blade! The texture on the push-button lock. There is even more...

All I can say is that IF you are really, truly a KNIFE lover, you simply MUST buy yourself a knife from a top-tier custom maker like Allen. Absolute brilliance...

"The photos in the previous post are of an old German pruning type knife I just aquired. It surely is interesting, and quite old."
