Alaskan Pocket Ulu - version 1

Picked this one up at the Tarheel show, from a couple that got it from Chuck Bowen "The Knifeman" while on a trip to Alaska.
Probably, no surely, a souvenir knife, but was signed by him.
Nice keepsake, but I'm still looking for another.

Comment by Shlomo ben Maved on January 6, 2016 at 22:37: Best skinner ever invented--I have a number from when I lived and worked in the High Arctic. I prefer the single stem (Greenland) pattern over the dual stem (Alaskan).

The Blade Tech was heavier but they have now added a channel to lighten the front heavy knife

Comment by J.J. Smith III on January 6, 2016 at 14:41: The "imitation scrimshaw" version came also. Not as impressed with it. Instead of some form of plastic scales, this was not much more than a thin sticker (about like credit card material) that was glued onto the frame.

On the bright side, I'll replace them with something more appealing.
