The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
For years knife offerings by Ash Blades have teased knife collectors with delicious blade designs, exotic handle materials, and affordable prices. Always made of 440C or Damascus, they seem almost too perfect.
It is for all these qualities that Ash Blades have been the topic of considerable discussions across collecting forums – be it knives, guns, or bushcraft forums, one central question starts the discussion….”…yea, but are they any good?”
iKC has also had some similar discussions. Here is one worth reading if you want to learn more: https://iknifecollector.com/forum/topics/ash-custom-knives
As you will see, I have settled that question for myself. I know what I like and what I can afford – two elements that rarely are stated at the same time. For me, Ash Blades have provided what I like at a price I can afford, allowing me to grow my collection quite handsomely. As a brand, I am quite satisfied with the pieces I own. The fit, finish, and functionality of each knife are exactly what I expect for the price I paid.
This collection was acquired between 2012 and 2016. At its height, the collection once held 48 pieces. Today I am down to 31, having sold 17 to date.
