Mike: My Mother and Grandmother bought me this exact knife but with rosewood handles back around 1990 in Sonora, CA (foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mtns, east of Stockton/Modesto). They were at a market of some kind and came home to surprise me with it. Same Sheath, markings and all, just with rosewood instead of stag. I love it, it is such a cool design. It has always been one of my favorite knives.
