The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
A few weeks ago a friend made me give him my knife (City bushcraft knife) and so I had to make myself another knife. I liked the form of the last knife I made, so I decided to make myself the same knife, but smaller. The steel is 1.2379 (D2), hardened up to 60 HRc. The handle is rotten oak with red fiber, the guard is brass. I wanted the handle to be lighter, like the handle of the other knive, but after the impregnation with linseed oil it became really dark. And when another friend saw the new knife, he said, that this is HIS knife and I must start making a sheath.
