Our house is in a small near town suburb. I've eaten possum more than once, but these poor critters evolved with no knowledge of automobiles (their chief predator) or people, We have some cautious coons too who live in the storm sewer. Our wildlife feeder is a plastic plate screwed up six feet off the ground on a little 8x24 inch platform. We have a color CCTV camera with IR illuminator.

Kathy and I are video junkies. We have our giant plasma TV with cable. Then separate always on 13" monitors for CNN, Fox News, The Weather Channel, Discovery channel, our Wildlife Feeder channel, and four quad-display 19" units for 16 channels of security TV. Old spies don't like surprises. We can see all four sides of the house, close ups of every door, inside the garage, front and back yards from the roof, both directions down the street and three ones I can move around, including one with a lens that shows a license plate 3 blocks away. All into a computer and dedicated DVR eith the ability to circle an area on any screen and have it alarm if there's movement.

So out of 50 frames of that baby possum, him dangling as he crawled back in was the best. Mama didn't like it when he tried to come out.

A month later the adventurous little guy got in the garage, and as the pix shows when I rescued him he growled an me and took a giant dump in my hand. Some gratitude. And "He" later turned out to have pups of her own.

Is that plate of food for her to eat or is it the peas that will be added to the stew when she's cooked. LOL
