As collectors, different knives "float our boat". Everybody has their own "hot spots". Relative to slip-joint blades, I've got a thing for jack knives. And the Great Eastern Cutlery/Northfield Cutlery model shown in this photo may easily be my favorite. Why?

* GEC quality simply can't be beat.

* I love the Oyster Blue handle scales. To me, these are mesmerizing.

* This knife design makes a superb EDC. "Just right" as Goldilocks would say. Well...really, I'm more like Papa Bear than Goldilocks...but you get the idea...
