One of the latest additions to the RR whittler line.
Available in 3 handles. Black looked best on this
3 & 7/8" frame. Not really practical for whittlin, but it's about a handfull of knife. Split-back design helps keep this one as trim as possible.

I saw it also.  Really a cool knife, though the size of the secondaries doesn't make it a practical user.

RR os known for taking old patterns and recreating them.

Ifound the Ka-Bar Boxcar Whittler listed on a google search. I was thinking about getting the Rough Rider Boxcar and was wondering if there was any history behind the pattern. I can't find a reference in any of my knife books or on google, except Ka-Bar and Rough Rider.

Seems to me a whittler of this size would more likely be considered a double-end Jack.

Not sure Craig. The guys on Knives Live said that the pattern had only been available on a "Collectrs Club" knife, but they didn't say which company.

Ka-Bar had a Boxcar Whittler too, right?  Does anyone have any history on the "Boxcar" pattern?

I guess that's one of the reasons it's called a boxcar.
