Hard core knife collectors often develop obsessions with specific materials, designs, blade shapes...and features. As a knife addict, I have a particular affinity for sculpted G10 handle scales. While I like carbon fiber as a handle material...sculpted G10 really rings my bell. So...when I laid eyes on Spyderco's collaboration with knife designer Perrin...I simply knew that I had to have the knife shown in the photo. This is a production model from Spyderco's Taiwan Manufacturing affiliate. I've been saying for quite some time...that Spyderco's Taiwanese blades are mind-blowing in their quality. This knife is no exception...and, in fact, I would go so far as to say that this is the best Taiwanese-produced knife that I've owned. In fact, I'd say that the build quality on this is as good as any USA-made knife that I own. Yes...it's that incredibly good...so don't bother saying that I've committed some sort of blasphemy. This knife...in hand...is BREATHTAKING.
