The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Sometimes, a given knife design won't "ring my bell" for quite a while...and then, all of a sudden, I develop this strange affinity for it. I'd explain this odd phenomenon if I could, but I can't. All this to preface what I'm about to say about the knife shown in this picture; the Benchmade MPR 755.
Frankly, the first time that I looked at a photo of this knife, I thought, "Weird looking knife...so short and squatty." Roughly a year went by with me perceiving the MPR 755 that way. Then I was cruising on YouTube, watching some knife videos...and saw one on this blade. After seeing the vid, I developed a curiosity about it...and went and bought one.
In hand, this knife's build quality is positively mind-blowing. It is a real testament to just how great of a manufacturer Benchmade is. Now that I own one, I can tell you that I love this little blade. It is one of the cooler knives that I've ever owned. Sure, I've got a couple of knocks on the design...little things...but oddly, my complaints aren't that the knife is short and squat. In fact, I like those attributes on this model. Want to know more?
