Known for their shotguns, their hunting knives are pretty nice too! This is their MSG9899 general purpose hunting/skinning knife.

Hey John - thanks! The steel is 440, presumably 440A. One can pick these up for under $15.00 US. To my amazement, it is extremely comfortable in the hand, well balanced, and better looking in real life than in any photo. It has become one of my top favorite knives in this class - the class of low cost skinners under 10". I bought it because it is a gun manufacturer's brand knife - although I suspect the name is licensed out, like S&W and others.

Needless to say, for the money, I'm pretty proud of this little hummer!
