Personally, i was thinking of taking a triangular file and re-profiling that broken blade into a coping blade.  It was another junk box rescue.  Again I know you like the old USA made knives and are willing to give an old user a second life.   Hope you can get some use out of them.  If nothing else, you can abuse them on a chore that you you don't want to use a good knife on.  You really can't hurt their value.  Everyone can use a couple junk drawer knives.
